Before we moved away from Atlanta, Spring had started to arrive which meant one of my favorite things... cherry blossom season! The last week we lived in Decatur, I took Autumn to my favorite in town cherry blossom viewing spot: Agnes Scott College! If you are local to the area and want to see this in person - these photos were taken near the college bookstore in one of their many beautiful outdoor seating areas.
The petals weren't falling yet, so Autumn didn't get the full "snowing" experience... but we enjoyed a cookie, scone and coffee together under the trees and it was a lot of fun. I'm really happy I got to share this with her before we moved away from that house!
My next cherry blossom viewing stop was in Peachtree City! The last week we were in Georgia, I was living at my mom's house which is near the Peachtree City library park. This was one of my favorite parks to go to in high school and college... There are TONS of beautiful cherry blossom trees, walking paths, a fountain and even a lake! It's a gorgeous place to relax. Plus - there is the library! You can't beat that.
And for fun... here is a photo of me at age 22 visiting the Peachtree City cherry blossoms... and then me this year at age 34. I wasn't able to recapture it perfectly, but you get the idea!
